Voices From the FIFA World Cup
Op 29 mei verscheen namelijk het album Voices, from the FIFA World Cup. Deze officiele FIFA CD bevat natuurlijk het officiele thema nummer van het WK 2006 van Il Divo met Toni Braxton, Time Of Our Lives. Dit nummer zal ten gehore worden gebracht tijdens de openingsceremonie van het WK. Speciaal voor dit album heeft Shakira een nieuwe versie van de hit Hips don't lie opgenomen. Deze versie bevat de officiele tune van het WK. Minder leuk wellicht is de exclusieve track van Herbert Gronemeyer, Celebrate the Day, wat het officiele Duitse WK anthem is.
Naast deze speciale tracks staat het album vol met juweeltjes van nummers, die stuk voor stuk tot mijn favorieten behoren, zoals Praying for time van George Michael, Piu Bella Cosa van Eros Ramazotti, Life van Des'ree, Your Game van Will Young, Natalie Imbruglia met Shiver, Alicia Keys en nog veel meer. Voor het eerst dat een verzamelalbum mij volledig kan bekoren. En dames, die net als ik niet van voetbal houden, het is een dubbelalbum met meer dan twee uur luisterplezier, dus genoeg om je tijdens een hele wedstrijd te vermaken! Een echte WK-aanrader!
